And you are surprised by this? Why?

The US gets to pick the leader of the World Bank. Europe does the IMF. It's kinda simple. Did you really think there was any doubt on this?

Mea culpa. It was merely a knee-jerk reaction on my part on hearing that the Bush cronyism is doing so well and is so far-reaching.

I personally thought that there would be alternative candidates from other countries up for the job. I should have kept abreast of the issue closer.

Want a reason ? It's been bugging me since it was announced, why a neo-con as the head of the world bank ?
