Winning Hearts and Minds

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U').S. Army officials are looking into allegations that soldiers have been trading gruesome digital pictures of war victims in Iraq and Afghanistan for access to an amateur pornography Web site, but officials said yesterday that there is insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges.
Pentagon and Army officials yesterday issued strong statements condemning the taking and posting of such photographs, but said there is little evidence to authenticate them and few ways to pursue a criminal investigation. While some of the photos appear to show U.S. soldiers in uniform near mutilated bodies, it is unclear where or when the pictures were taken.

Here is the link... tell my if you think there is enough evidence that congress doesnt seem to find when looking at them.

EVENT!! I POSTED IT BEFORE AND YOU GUYS PULLED IT!! ARE YOU CENSORING THIS SITE NOW???

i THINK THAT THIS TYPE OF STUFF COULD MAKE THE MIDDLE EAST BLOW UP LIKE A POWERKEG... AND PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING OVER THERE.

This is also being discussed as "Judge orders release of Abu Ghraib photos" in the "Current Events" forum.

actually roger these photos are not being discussed on that forum. I just checked. They are disussing the Abu photos. These are different and not from a prison. These are US soldiers mocking the folks they have brutally mudered. In one case it is a photo of a guy who drove too fast towards a unmarked checkpoint and got murdered. In the photo caption they are mocking him and making crude comments. HOW WOULD THE US REACT IF THESE WERE US CITIZENS BEING MOCKED IN DEATH BY A FOREIGN COUNTRIES ARMY?? but them again they are only dirty arabs. Whats all our oil doing under their sand anyway.

JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE PARANOID DOESNT MEAN PEOPLE ARENT WATCHING YOU

I stand corrected. They will have similar effect in the ME though. The only way for the Coalition now is down and out.

Tokyo-Expat -

your paranoia apparently exceeds your diligence.

I've just found the Hearts & Minds thread in about 30 secs its proper forum which is Open Discussion.

The Open Discussion Forum is for ANY topic and is not necessarily energy related.

Current Affairs Forum is for discussion of energy related news and media coverage.

This thread will thus move to join its twin in Open Discussion.

regards,

If it detracts attention from Monte's threads, it tends to be deleted...

I would dispute that. I find the moderators and admin are doing an excellent job given their resources.

I heard about this... never got the website...

You can see the carnage on other sites as well...

I really can't stand it anymore.....

I swear someone should organize a take-over of all the media and just run the images/videos for as long as possible...
