The actual map itself can be downloaded here. The page also contains the full rankings.

Saudi Arabia 31
Venezuela: 25
Kuwait: 38
Nigeria: 120
Canada: 10

Which only goes to show that oil wealth alone does not make you happy.

I find no greater joy than the fact that we can have peace with God through Faith in Jesus Christ.

Thats a great point! I find myself in limbo sometimes, like before a group bible study I attend sometimes I feel a bit down, like nothing can make me feel better. Once bible study is over I feel great! It's like a wonderful rush that lasts for a couple days. Unfortunately it dwindles and around day 5-6 (I attend weekly) I feel like I'm back at the same place I was a week before. Some people say lack of faith, not enough devotion, blah blah blah....

But then I wonder what 'peace' is??? I mean should I feel at peace with God through Jesus Christ while people in the ME are being blown to pieces? or like my devout Christian friends who are having their home forclosed. When things like this are going on in the world and I'm being lied to by my government. I'm sorry but it's going to take a bit more faith and peace with God before I accept all this as (his/her/its) God's master plan.

"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."--historian Howard Zinn

It is a great quote no matter who said it, but congratulations on pointing out that it was not said by Thomas Jefferson. Many attribute it to him and do not seem to care that it is wrong.

Can you write that again in English please? Did he say it again, or was it double-speak or an echo?

Sabibaby and ED no need to worry about the ME. Most of them don't believe in Jesus so they are dammed anyway.

Its heartbreaking when someone dies unsaved. What's going on in the Middle East is terrible but when all is said and done, this world will see horrors far worse.

I can't change the world but I can do my part by loving people and helping out where I can, sharing the Gospel, and most importantly doing what the Lord needs me to do.

Remember the old crew and original (I could never accept the newer versions with different actors and all the make up).

Great. Religious fanatics on the forum.

As if we didn't have enough crazies.

There's no God, no Jesus, no masterplan, evolution is true, you are not special or unique and you will not go to Heaven.

You, me, and the entire human race will live and die in an infinitesimal instant of time on the cosmic scale and the universe will not notice or care.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ElijahJones', ' ')At the very least religion has the guts to say that people should love one another and that we should empathize with one another.

That's all great. Shame how that usually turns into burning people at the stake and generally killing, raping and torturing people who don't agree with your interpretation of some ancient book.

Or refusing an abortion to a girl raped by her father, just to bring things up to date.

Nothing against ED personally, or the other Xtians, but fuck religion and the horse it rode in on.

Sorry for rant.

Okay, let's think about what Jesus Christ did for a second here.

He lived a perfect sinless life. He willingly endured humiliation, torture, and a six hour death on the cross. All the while forgiving those who were killing Him and He did it to save us.

Your perception of Him is completely warped and skewed because of the actions of people who sound anything but a follower of Christ.

Essentially what you're saying is that you reject Him and what He's done based on the actions of misguided people.

He didn't do those horrible things, sinful humans did. We all mess up, but yet God still loves us and Christ died to bring us home to Him.

I'm far from perfect, I know that.

I'm just suggesting that you take a second look, because you're making a big mistake based on an incorrect assumption.

"God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" ( Romans 5:8 )

I feel the same about the idea of reincarnation. I can't wait to ditch my memory, get a new body and start over again. Let 'er rip!!!

This is a source of great joy--that my present life isn't completely hideous --and there are more to come.

I'm with Chicken_Little, religon provides no useful purpose and is basically just a tool to control the masses. It seems to me to be a big part of what got us into this mess in the first place. Why should any of worry about peak oil and the consequences when god is going to swoop down from the sky and save the "believers" at any given moment? That's the mentality that underlies our culture.

As far as people working together and caring for one and other, its too bad that the only reason some people feel motivated to act that way is because they are scared of some great father sending them to hell for enternity. I don't think religon will provide anything of benefit as we as a soceity try to figure out how to transition to a non-fossil fuel based economy.

Ultimately, if we had a society based on cooperation and an equal distribution of resources everyone would benefit. All it takes is a little intelligence to figure that one out.

Xtians- I'm all for the love...Just cut the "I'm saved and you're not crap."

Tell a starving Bangladeshi, a tortured Tibetan Monk and a raped Sudanese refugee that they're spending an eternity in the HellFires because they haven't submitted to the will of your God.
