I read TOD occasionally, and this was posted, and I have no idea what 'flaming' means.
"I've been away from TOD for a few days (intermittantly for a few months) and reading to catch up. I am particularly worried by the increase in flaming on Drumbeat. I regularly reccomend (as do many of you i'm sure) this site a good objective look at the various scenarios of energy depletion. I am however becoming incresingly embarresed by some of the posts."

flaming is fighting, hence all the fighting threads are moved to the hall of flames on this forum

The more I read on that particular thread, they were referring to flaming as people coming in a posting a bunch of trash. Like posting stuff that had no value to the topic.

The more I read on that particular thread, they were referring to flaming as people coming in a posting a bunch of trash. Like posting stuff that had no value to the topic.
I think that would qualify as trolling, but I don't have the definitions of either concept
