$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Leaf', 'I') have come to accept death not as BAD...but as part of life. I will be there someday and so will you. Like Joe I am a Christian and my faith is there.

Hmm, interesting. Chinese believe in reincarnation. My clan have a tradition. Before you kill any animals for meat. You should chanting "Be a chicken, duck, cow or pig, reborned and rekilled again". According to the tradition if the animal run away, it's life is spared as due to CPU errors in heaven or hell, some poor human soul are accidently dumped into "animal body" (direct translation). So the run away animal is really a human trapped in animal body.
However, if the silly animal remained there , time to kill as only low grade animal soul are in that animal. However, my grandmother changed the tradition. Last time I heard she chant "Don't blame us for the killing. We only want to eat. My family need good meat to eat. Hope you reincarnate into better body" So any animals can be killed for food.
That's why Buddhists are vegan. They don't have to test all those animals for animal soul or human soul. Save all the troubles. I heard some animals cried when the slaughter time is near. Some human souls must be accidently dumped inside.

When all the rivers run dry, all the forests have been cleared, all the food has been eaten, tell me the value of your money
