I was sitting in the men's room at work the other day, contemplating dinner from the previous night, when I heard someone enter the room. Instead of the sounds you might expect, this person went to the sink, turned on the water full force and began to clear their sinuses. This persisted for at least 5 or 6 minutes.
Now came the 2 minutes of hand washing and gargling. Still the faucets are on full force. Then the use of 6 or 8 paper towels to dry up the mess.
Done yet? No. Now, this cretin heads into a stall to urinate. Plenty of urinals available -- this guy just likes to use water. Constant flushing while going. Followed by one for good measure.
Now, back to the sink for an extended hand wash and a bit more sinus clearing for good measure. This time, 8 to 10 towels were required.
A bit of math and I figure that this person used about 30 gallons of water in his brief visit. To blow his nose and empty his bladder. A month's ration in a severe drought.
How many more of these clueless morons are out there? Millions? Hundreds of millions? Probably the latter.
I can't find the words to describe how bad things are going to get.
