Interesting... one of the commentors threw in a plug for dieoff.org... and got slapped down by a technofixer later on.
So many GW deniers out there! But some good comments too... My favorite comment was from the guy who watched the show, then cancelled his foxtel subcription and sponsored three African kids instead...
Me, I don't do much TV these days, so I only caught a couple minutes of some teeny bopper diva onstage, while we were picking up the puppy from a friend's house. I wasn't too interested in the show (although I will have to find some clips of yusef stevens).
On the live earth site (
liveearth.org/event), the purpose of the concert is said to "bring together more than 100 music artists and 2 billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis." I guess the question is how successful it will be in this goal. I am all for spreading the word and trying to change minds. Can a concert do that? Or is it just more tons of garbage on the face of the earth, and the rich go home a little richer?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I') am sure it has been a bit cooler the last few days. Is there anything a couple of pop concerts can't fix?
