you may be right, but I don't think so. Why would they seek failure? The goal was to end the Saddam nightmare and bring democracy, ostensibly, to Iraq. The thought was that a democratic regime in the ME would be a good thing. And let's face it, it was the neocon idea from the start. They are ever more out of the loop nowadays. But this may only be a temporary result of the election. One of the things I try to do is not let PO condition my every thought about what is going on. Things are in flux. Obviously, we aren't doing anything about Darfur or Zimbabwe because they have no strategic importance. So let's face another fact: it is hard to sift through the info and truly know anything. One can only try. That's all I'm trying to do, and I believe you are trying to do the same.
