I was just thinking, you know what would really raise awareness?

A porno film with Peak Oil being it's theme.

Life is going good, the consumerist life style is going great,

It shows an executive(who happens to be a body builder buff) and his secretary getting it on.

Then, 5 years later, the peak oil crisis happens, his company goes under, and he's forced to become a migrant worker.

There is a farmer(who happens to have big muscles from working the land), who is producing food, the former slut secretary trades sex for food. The farmer and the secretary get it on.

Strangely enough, even though there is little food, the secretary always has her hair done, and makeup done, the only thing that she loses is a little more of her clothes as time passes on, and she has a little bit of dirt/grease/ash on her.

Then, the farmer gets killed, and the land taken over by a big muscular warlord, the secretary, in exchange for food and protection, gets it on.


What do you think?

I think alot of people would watch that. Especially if we didn't charge, let networks like HBO use it for free, so long as they would show it often, and then they would show Peak Oil Porno: The chronicles of a migrant slut.


BTW, I'm not trying to be a pervert, but I am trying to raise awareness, and if the conservatives aren't going to raise awareness through the more respected channels, some other channel must be used, in order to try and stop this disaster, which threatens all life.

It's just an idea, hasn't been put into practice.

Are you actually recommending using the plot in porno to teach someone something? Do you actually watch porn for the intellectual stimulation? Most porn is viewed in 5-7 minute chunks. With DVD's they don't even need to watch the chunks in order.

Then lets make a reality show!

On top of figuring out who would win, and who wouldn't, it would teach you basic survival skills.

Also, you don't start off with everything you need. There are only two sets, of every thing you need(such as a water source, a farming plot ect...), so you either have to co-operate, or kill one another.

Also, on this island, the person alive at the end of the 20-40 weeks, gets the million dollars. If two people are alive, then they split it among the two, and so on.
