As I recall, current daily oil production is something on the order of 88 million barrels of day.
What I'm looking for is a) the exact daily total; b) Iraq's current contribution to that total (I believe it's 1.5 million on a good day), Iraq's contribution during the sanctions regime, and Iraq's contribution (optimal) prior to the first Gulf War.
Reason being I am confronted with an argument elsewhere that the "reason oil is high is because of Iraq" as if that is the only thing to do with it.
It's obviously not helping, but at a glance it's probably no more than a few percentage points of the problem.
