UK drowning in Norwegian gas

Yet another pipeline carrying Norwegian gas has opened. The Tampen Link gas pipeline connecting the Anglo-Norwegian Statfjord field in the North Sea with the UK sector opened Friday evening, 12th of October. Visit:

This presentation shows what the Norwegians are doing with their huge gas reserves:

Today the UK is drowning in Norwegian gas, Langeled at 65MCMD, Tampen open, Vesterled nearly full!

What can we do with all this gas?

There are also 2 new LNG terminals opening in next couple of months at Milford Haven though no gas is likely to come to UK because of all the Norwegian supplies.

UK gas prices falling again, cheapest gas in Europe.

With oil at $84/bbl gas is 34 p/therm (used to be a link with $1/bbl = 1p/therm but those days have gone, gas is now priced based on gas v gas competitin which is why prices are set to be low for many years...

It's probably due to the pickled herring or perhaps the lutefisk.

But isn't the UK was upwind from Norway?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('baldwincng', 'W')hat can we do with all this gas?

Use less of it, and adapt to using none at all. We get to Party Like It's 1999 until the 2020s, after which we may have no further options.
