The good old days.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
-- Abraham Lincoln, Fragment on Government (July 1, 1854)

Not in any particular order:

Coffee
Tea
Chocolate
Sugar
Fast Food
Fresh Food on demand
Telephones
The Stock Market...jk
TV
Electricity
Health Care-despite it's current failings
Six Flags (Amusement Parks in general)
The Internet
Peace
Security
This Constitutional Republic (The USA)
Personal Freedom
I can't continue :(

They need a more sad looking emotion.

Ice can be stored in an ice house over summer. Ice can be used to make ice cream, presuming you've stored salt, in an old-time hand cranked machine. I've done it.

Store cocoa too if you want chocolate ice cream. Cocoa is the best way to store chocolate since there's no fat in it to go rancid. You basically remake it into chocolate with addition of some butter and cream.

Carbonated soft drinks can be made with yeast. I've only tried this once and it came out too yeasty tasting, but I used a bit more than the recipe called for and let it ferment an extra couple days. Have to try it again.

I will *not* miss meat. I can't. I'm a noninsulin-dependent diabetic and must not become insulin-dependent in a world without cheap insulin. No need to though as rabbits can be easily raised in a very small space.

I shall *most* miss Google.

Next, I shall miss my coffee. We shall have coffee as long as any is available on the market, so maybe I won't have to miss it in my lifetime if we have a nice soft landing.
