Interesting to listen to the clueless Americans tell Art they believe it's all manufactured...If this doesn't affirm that we are headed for a serious and bloody future when it hits hard here, I don't know what will.

I'm completely against the Patriot Act and the other legislation that has come down the pike, but listening to these fools makes me think maybe we're gonna need a police state.

These people are going to go nutty when reality hits them in the face.

Most of the callers think peak oil is a conspiracy theory; or they think even if it's true, then technology will save us. I can see riots coming in the near future, due to the clueless American public.

Hey, let's have a California meetup with the PO ph00lz. Who's all on? Jato, me, Matt Savinar, I know there's more... let's take a Saturday and hit a shooting range, a taqueria, and a bar... what do you say? Say Santa Barbara area, something like that? Let's burn some gas while we still can!

I was just thinking the same thing. When they're looking at the pump and it says $5 a gallon, when the cognitive dissonence ends and they realize the party's over...they're going to be seriously pissed off.

To those recording..

Postby UIUCstudent01 » Mon 28 Mar 2005, 04:00:59

If there is anything of worth in the broadcast, can you guys record it and torrent it. If it could summarized that would be cool too. Because right now, my computer sucks - I have windows media player 10, but for some reason it's not streaming (it may be because I am under the University's firewall?).

I know someone is going to replay it in peak speak, but it seems like it may be too much of a hassle to go through for the guy broadcasting in peak speak.. Although the other options are probably just as troublesome.

By your guys' comments it seems like there isn't much going on of worth (except for the observation that once peak happens, the police state may be necessary to keep those people in line...) I don't want to miss anything..

Hey NG I kept falling alseep let me know if you do this please
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I') am recording the broadcast on my comp. Will play it on peak speak later if there are people here who missed it.

One thing I did notice, between naps is that Art (I'm not a fan of his), seemed to keep things on-track, leaving no doubt in my mind he is perfectly aware what is going on.

I found his show as I was scanning channels on the way home from work. I also hit the link posted by someone, but my computer suddenly stopped receiving it after about 45 minutes... (???).

Art Bell treated this topic differently from his ususl ghost tales. I've listened to some of his 'ghost' shows and his tone of voice often seems to indicate he thinks many of those guests and callers are flat insane.

But he truly sounds aware of PO and he seems like a 'relative' newcomer to this perspective as well, as are many here. It was refreshing to hear him last night and I believe we'll be hearing much more on this topic on Coast-to-Coast sooner than later.

It's way scarier than those boring ghost stories anyhow.

I'm listening to the show right now through his streaming audio option.

There's a lot of ignorance out there, even in Canada.

The funniest call I've heard so far was a man calling in and saying that ...

"If there were a Democrat in the Whitehouse right now, there would be lawsuits and gas would be selling for 53 cents a gallon."
"Modern Agriculture is the use of land to convert petroleum into food."
-- Albert Bartlett

"It will be a dark time. But for those who survive, I suspect it will be rather exciting."

Matt, you should have called in and responded to those other guys. You are good at winning arguements. I am not going to say bad things about C2C. It is one of the few alternative media outlets out there. If martial law is imposed, who do you think would be its first victims? By asking for martial law, you are inviting your own imprisonment. From your book, you seem to have a very good idea about what the government has been up to. The authorities have been planning for martial law for a very long time and you know it! Sorry for my rant, but I think the police state that is being built is just as scary as peak oil, and will do nothing but compound the suffering.

The reason people are so ignorant is because they havn't been given the facts. How much time do you think most people have? People blame Americans for being selfish consumers. I mostly agree but would like to point out that they have been brainwashed from birth to be selfish consumers. Why do you think companies need to advertise so much? It is because if they didn't people would make due with what they had and would not want more. They wouldn't go into debt to get the latest gadgets. And wouldn't have to work as many hours to support all that crap. Peak oil means that this paradigm cannot go on, so the powers-that-be have prepared a new system, which is now being built.

Chicagoan, Art Bell a target of the elite? Hardly. He's a safe pressure relief valve for the suspicious public. As far as credibility goes, he could have top knotch guests all of the time, like Richard Dolan. Instead he has Richard Hoagland with his tortured math and face on Mars crap, that may NOT be conscious disinfo on Hoagland's part, but nevertheless functions that way.

Bell's choice of guests keep the radio show safely in the tabloid realm. When I'm listening to him, I alternate screaming, "yeay Art" with "Art, you are such a fg idiot". Note how Art gets all prickly and blows up like a puffer fish when anyone mentions 911 conspiracy? Is that ironic? Mr. Secret Govt. himself? Think that's sincere? I think Art wants to keep his job.

So he's bringing up Peak Oil. Good for him. And he's interviewing Daniel Pinchbeck tonight. So Yeayyy Art.
