$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Ludi', 'Y')ou can't make imprudent people prudent by punishing them ... People don't learn in our society how to manage money prudently, how to eat right, etc. They are taught the opposite - "Buy this wonderful thing you don't need! Eat this delicious unhealthy food!"
All very true, and I sure don't want any punishment in my conscience. Unemployed, poor and unprivileged people already have a hard time as is, and the $500/week of unemployment compensation doesn't grant them a good life as the right rhetoric claims.

Yet, the holiday shopping rubs me the wrong way.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('IsThisRealLife', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Pretorian', 'P')ay as you go treatment would be uncomparably cheaper.
So I imagine you don't have health insurance. Every time you need treatment, you go to the hospital, get treated, write a check, and off you go.

My eye you do! :P

Every time you need a treatment, you think do I really need this treatment, or my doctor needs it more than I do? You think : Should I sell my house to have (allegedly) one more year of chemotherapy, or should I do something else? And so on. No worries , millions of people lived and live to their 70-80-90-100s without any healthcare whatsoever.
