$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lore', 'H')ow many times can you have an "end of world alert"?

He calls it an "emergency action alert." He says something like "society will be nothing like what we're used to" by the fall. That's a safe call.. enough sh*t will be sticking to the fan by then to back his prediction up.

What's NOT going to happen is Mad Max "world by hand" collapse. What IS going to happen is a further slide into a South American style banana republic.

BTW everything he's saying we've been covering on this forum. I posted the Saudi output cut news. We all know gas is heading through the roof, things coming to a head between inflation, QE, debt ceiling, gold and silver skyrocketing, food inflation, gas prices, and Hilary Clinton's adventures in Libya.

It's not the end of the world.. but things are getting worse. Drip, drip, drip always worse.

For example.. I remember on this forum we used to talk about inflation in a theoretical way. Now inflation is here, it's a fact. Look at gold and silver.. God why didn't I buy any. Way before I joined, in the archives, you'll see prediction and debate on the yet-to-happen housing collapse.

Overall, this forum has a very good record on predictions.

Yes. Perhaps off a bit on timing, but usually not by much. Unless it a "this is the end" thread. The grind sucks though.

Tell you guys something funny...

I saw this video when it was first posted and as a direct result, I moved ALL of my retirement money over to a money market fund (which gains or loses less than 1% per year).

I told the fund manager why I was doing it and he got a kick out of it.

It's the first time I have ever done anything with my money. Up until now I was high risk all the way. I saw it go from 25,000 down to 12,000 when the market crashed awhile back, and now it's up to 40,000 so I ain't takin NO CHANCES!!

Course I'm only 38 so retirement is still 20 years out so chances are I'll never get to see that money anyway :( , but if TSHTF, I suppose I could retire early and use that money to buy food and guns, lol

I moved to a money market in summer 2008 on the advice of George Soros, moved back into the market August 2009, kept my buttocks clenched through the Euro crisis, and jumped back into money markets a month ago. My advice to everyone was to get their money out of the US when the GOP won the House in 2010.

Anyway, it's only enough money to live on for about 30 months, but it's good not to have lost it.

Wow, I'm actually viewing this video now, and it's so pathetic it's almost funny! He's saying the world economy is going to come to a screeching halt because of parts shortages from Japan, and that stock prices will tank because of bad quarterly earnings!

I mean, even Y2K was potentially scarier than this! :-D

He said "This is the easiest call I've made in decades." I'll be waiting!

God I hate to do it, but I have to sort of agree with you Oily. Oh wait you being right is good news.

Seriously.. yeah I don't see Japanese parts disruption collapsing us into anarchy. It's not like Japan is shutting down for good, radiation or not. And those scrappy Chinese would be more than happy to take up the slack. Along with dozens of other hungry developing nations.

As for stocks.. I'd like to agree with Ruppert, cuz man this con game has to end, but.. the Fed won't allow it. The Fed's mission used to be to contain inflation, but I think it's now all about propping up the market and the .gov. So they'll choose inflation.. and then hyperinflation. Still not a good outcome.. stock market could be hyperinflated to the moon but that doesn't make it worth anything. Although I guess you'd still crow about dow 40,000 even if a loaf of bread costs $30.

HOWEVER.. if the Fed decides to fight inflation and cuts off the spigot of hot money then the market will crash. I just don't look for them to do that; a collapsed market is more obvious than creeping inflation.

On the other hand, keep watching oil gold and silver. All three are getting crazy high.. there's a breaking point somewhere there where the Fed would be forced to reverse its inflationary course.

Long term predictions are pretty easy, really. Setting a date on predictions is usually a fruitless endeavor.
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

good point. although i guess it depends on what the definition of "good" is.

i think the sense of urgency conveyed by Ruppert is appropriate.

the world economy was stretched thin when the quake & tsunami hit Japan. that would have been bad enough. 6 weeks later, they still do not have their reactors and fuel pools under control.

my feeling on Saturday March 20 was that ... this is it. that whatever preps i was going to do, or people are going to do, it's time to get the majority of them done.

i've heard Ruppert's alerts enough times now that they wear thin.

i would not be surprised to see the Q3 quarter be jury-rigged into a financially stupendous quarter. remember, companies that do business with the US gov. were released from the GAAP requirement by the SEC in 2006 - a piece of news that Ruppert himself broke.

Ruppert has got to say something, otherwise what’s the point of collapse net? I believe most of the estimates I'm hearing is that the Japan crisis will take world GDP down a tenth or two at most. Most manufacturers have alternatives and it’s just a matter of time before they ramp up to pull the bottleneck out of the system.

I believe the larger long term worry for Japan is that you will see many buyers diversifying more of their sources away from there in the future. The ripple affect of which is an economy left in stagnation or negative growth, which in turn means they won't be helping to back our paper.
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

The real question is - is he putting his fortune on the line ? If he believes with high confidence that the stocks will crash by July he can go ultra-short and make a fortune. Of course, if he is wrong, he could be screwed. So, does Ruppert have his money where his mouth is ?

I don't get it. Economic collapse is economic collapse. Where is money and bonds safe? It's Gold and Silver only. It won't be a Mad Max but more like The Road

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daniel_Plainview', 'I') will revisit this thread on July 31 ... which, according to Ruppert, will be the final day of normal civilization.

Only 2 days remaining of normal civilization. According to Ruppert, this weekend will be the WEEKEND OF DOOM !!!

Things like this can only serve to discredit people who have real concerns for what's coming down. I wish people who should know better would quit making date predictions.

Anyway, it's July 31st at nearly 11 PM. I'm going to hazard a guess that I'll wake up in the morning and go to work as usual.
