Hi everyone, a while back I found out about this tech but only now it is being introduced. Please check it out.

UPS Hydraulic Hybrid Trucks

At the time the applications were also for such vehicles as garbage trucks and other "city" trucks that do a lot of stop and go.

I did a bit of research into a hydraulic drivetrain for cars and found out that some vehicles such as treaded tanks and industrial equipment do have hydraulic drive systems.

They are supposed to be a lot more efficient than their mechanical counterparts such as drive shafts and chains.

I know, it's not a cure all but nice to see anyhow.
