Hope your Halloween was fun !

Happy Halloween ALL!

Blu's report from her Garden Center's Pumpkin Patches:

All 6 stores did RECORD turnouts this year, and we sold out early! (crop in Illinois was low due to the heavy rains in late August I reported on in one of the weather threads here.)
Lots of happy kids again carving pumpkins, toasting pumpkin seeds, making pumpkin pies from FRESH MASH NOT canned! (oh the HORROR!)
Tummies are full of candy and pumpkin pie, time to rest up before the next go-round....YULE TREES/Greens!

Good to report on: The "Great Pumpkin" brought a 7-1/2 lb. baby boy to a friend last night, mother, father, and son and are doing WELL! Hooray for baby Elijah!

Hail Freyr, Cernunnos, and the Holly King! Tonight is the night that the Wild Hunt starts, and commences throughout the Wintertide, all the way 'till it ends on Walburgasnacht, the Night before "Beltane". Mother Holda and Odin are known to lead the hunt! Be careful not to get caught up in it whilst trick-or-treating!

Whooooooohhhhhh!!!!!!!

Halloween is a good opportunity to practice what you will do when the hunger zombies come to your bunker door asking you for food.

My boys had fun giving out candy to the kids ... they made the older ones answer the three questions:

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is your favorite color?

No questions on swallows, African or European, this time. It was quite funny listening to the reactions...

Hooray for you blu!

It's great to make money and smiles at the same time.

Best to Elijah and all his, too.

Happy halloween, I hope you didn´t scare too many kids like last year. I remember that last year for some reason, a lot of people was pissed off with the kids

Happy Halloween to one and all!

Just got back in from trick-or-treating with the little guy. You'd never know there was an economic disaster going on with the 3/4 full grocery bag of candy he got in about an hour and a half of knocking on doors.

The scariest thing we saw was a huge SUV tearing up and down the street at about 45 mph while kids were darting back and forth across the road. Some people just never lay off the gas pedal I guess!

Happy Halloween to you all.

My dad was born on that day in 1929.

Here is photo of our son we took tonight just before we went out to score some candy. You can't see it in the picture but the wife made up a make-believe pine car air freshener as a necklace for this little skunk.

We got some candy bars last week in preparation for Halloween. As the stocks declined mysteriously, I picked up some more in anticipation of few or no Trick-or-Treaters. Better safe than sorry.
