$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'L')OL - did you see the 'heavy metal' photo in his experiment? Who knew Pantera would do that to water?!

But it totally makes sense doesn't it? If you stick a glass of water on top of a speaker I bet you'd get the same result. Reminds me of the glass of water sitting on the dash in the movie Jurrasic Park!

Yeah, I could buy that, but I am less sure about the words spoken like 'love' and 'gratitude' that supposedly achieve beautiful molecular arrangements of water droplets. Or the corollary, in which words like 'hate' destroy a harmonious arrangement. One control that I would like to see is the comparison of the effects of a harsh language, like German or Basque or Arabic, on the water when the same kind words are given in those respective languages. Perhaps we're seeing some sort of harmonic distortion....oh, now I'm blathering... :-D

Perhaps, but that is a great point. I'd like to see the difference in effects between say Spanish and Russian. 8O And would there be a difference between spoken and written words? you'd think so.... wouldn't you?

Yes, typically. If the outcomes have anything to do at all with expressing joy vs. animosity, it should be evident in the water without the spoken language. Perhaps bring Saddam and Gandhi in for a little experiment. :-D

Well, that would certainly show us the effect of ego or its absence upon the water. Mind you,we could just use Conrad Black or some other similar person.

But if the effects were at all conclusive, I am sure someone would twist it around into some kind of pre-employment test!

Oh certainly. And I thought blowing a breathalyzer test was bad - can you imagine blowing an aquatic karma test? Oh man, the government would put me under permanent house arrest. :? :o

Update

I'm in the third day of the experiment, appears the positive carrot can just be seen to have 3 little nodules protruding from the surface, but on one side of the carrot top, there is white mold growning. The control carrot and negative carrot show no change from when the experiment started. I have been taking daily pictures and will release them 11 days from now. I am expecting to run the experiment for 4 weeks.

err you need to repeat the experiment several times or have several postive carrots, several negative carrots and several control carrots. There is simply too much experimental error right now.

I read a book about this: The Secrert Life of Plants
http://www.earthpulse.com/products/secret.html
It's full of interesting "experiments" like pouring bleach down the kitchen sink (killing bacteria) while a plant hooked up to a lie detector registers a galvanic rosponse. One guy trained a philodendron to start his car on mental command!

Amateur! I'm training mine to mow the lawn, wash the dishes, change sparkplugs and defrag my hard drive!

I have a whole bunch of Philodendron sellolum that I'm training for guard duty. When they're done with basic training they'll keep the mutant biker zombies away when TSHTF. Heck, I may just recruit the rest of the garden and take over the world

Lets keep this carrot top related only. Sure there is some interesting extra information in this thread, which can only be regarded as speculation, I'm conducting an experiment, and until I have the results finished, I'll regard plants as non living as human fingernails. If the first tests after 1 month prove to warrent another testing so be it. Until the time I publish the results, post further into this thread after the results which I will release. Currently there is no evidence to prove plants respond to humans, after more of my testing we might have an idea. I am keeping daily photos in high resoultion of the carrots, and will be provided for everyone to see the daily results over one month of testing.
