Because they sure as hell aren't coming here. Maybe take in some Syrian Christians or Kurds but your Sunni Muslims aren't coming here anymore. Obama's foolish policy of trying to destabilize the government of Syria by training and funding Kurd and Islamist rebel groups has been madness. Obama has turned Syria into a hell-hole---no wonder refugees are trying to flee.

And now US ally Turkey is massing troops on the Syria border and may invade Syria-----or at least the parts of Syria that have oil.

If the US hadn't been funding and arming the Islamist rebel groups in Syria for the last 6 years the war would never have happened. If Obama's war policy is reversed by Trump, then the war will soon end. Syrians could stay in Syria and rebuild their country.

We don't need to find new homes for Muslim refugees. Let them stay in their own countries .

I dunno. Stopping the growth of Islamic culture in this country may have been a "quiet" issue that helped swing the election. So many have remained publicly silent, but in private there was and is a real fear of "creeping sharia" in our country...

Personally I don't care one way or other. I don't mind a very low immigration cap because I'd just as soon keep our stocking level low. OTOH, they are no threat to me except in the reaction they engender in those who are too afraid to answer the door without a gun

I'm still back at zero population growth. Every impoverished immigrant who gets to the US wants just one thing----the American Dream of two cars in the garage, a boat, closets jammed with plastic junk, and TVs in every room all on all the time
