I guess the dumb people ran out of credit. The dumb people will always try to use all credit available to them, so the real determiners of the health of the housing industry are the lending institutions. If the banks start to get stern about loan repayments, the housing industry goes down.

The largest inventory since NOVEMBER 1996! Omygod, that was 10 years ago! Ever notice how these dire stories always have something like that, the worst since 5 years ago! the worst since blah blah. Now the one that really caught my attention was the worst savings rate since 1933. Now there's some news.
