I understand completely. We are at 6 billion with ecological meltdown nearing and 9 billion is predicted by 2050 and still the population message still isn't getting through. It's no wonder population control is called the 'cinderella subject', to discuss limiting population seems to be taboo to most politicians. It's infuriating! It's equally as infuriating that high fertility is seen as desirable to men and women in most third world countries where they live in squalor because of resource scarcity due to overcrowding. But if you think that we evolved from DNA whose sole purpose or goal is to get copied and copied as much as possible, it's no wonder really. Even though we have big brains it seems that we still can't break the bonds and legacy of what we are at our core.
