Then peakniks everywhere can still have a unified meetup network, a one stop shop for finding their local meeting.
They are also planning to host a "Universal Directory" for ALL peaknik meetings. My group at sydneypeakoil.com were so miffed at meetup that we set up our own independent website, that WE control. That's all well and good, but how do peakniks find us?
The Universal Directory will be hosted by postcarbon.org and it will be the group moderator's responsibility to log in their group on the directory. That way when a Sydney peaknik looks up the directory they can still see us there, even though we are not being hosted by the postcarbon.org meetup software.
So — other than some basically similar meetup.com functionality to the MEETING software and having a UNIVERAL DIRECTORY... what other specific "wish list" items would you have in the software?
This IS happening
but we need your input to get it right
