$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Kristen', 'S')o to sum it up we're all equally to blame.
I don't think I buy that at all. I understand your post but the idea that we're all equally to blame is just PC bullshit bantered around. Fact is, some people are MORE to blame and some are less to blame. Unfortunately, there are more of the "mores" than the "less".
Let's imagine your house is on fire, caused by electrical sparking from a shoddy installation of poor materials, passed by an absentee electrical inspector. 10 of your neighbors come running down. 2 of them grab water hoses and buckets and try to put the fire out. 2 others start pouring gasoline on your house. The other 6 watch and laugh, nap, or commiserate. Now, is everyone equally to blame for your house burning down? Is the shoddy electrician or the crappy Chinese wiring equally as responsible as the guys throwing gas on an already-burning building? How about the gas throwers compared to the placid observers? The observers to the water brigade?
A good number of people here are on the water brigade (lots of them are found in the Planning section, btw). A lot of the people here are just watching the fire. Some people here are gasoline throwers. And likely nobody here was the electrician.
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.
