$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Tanada', ' ')I use an old (2003) computer with a CRT monitor and I have a 2 inch blank strip on each side. This makes the font much smaller on my screen and harder for me to read so I would like it widened back out to fit.
I am using a new computer with a 2000-pixel wide monitor, and I have 6" blank strips on each side. Same problem - makes the font too small for comfort, and if I make it larger, it screws up the formatting.
I'm using Firefox. The blank space is a little smaller in IE, but still a whole lot of wasted space.
I know forcing everyone to 800 pixels or so used to be considered good web design, but now, with people using everything from tiny little netbooks to 3000 pixel widescreens...the page should fill the screen, IMO.
Some sites have it as a user option - you can choose wide vs. narrow.
