Anti-semitism during the Nazi era provided a wonderful opportunity for gross opportunism and outright theft.
In the muslim world, Jews provide an easy target in explaining away the regions leadership failures.
The Jews are a miniscule and easily targeted minority who have been and continue to be blamed for just about every shortcoming.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Outcast_Searcher', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Sixstrings', '
')I've never understood anti-semitism.
IMO, it's about jealousy. The stereotype is that "The Jews are rich". Never mind that (in the experience of the Jewish families I've known well), there is a culture of hard work and taking excellent advantage of educational opportunities - which tends to lead to financial success.
I mention this as apparently the soak-the-rich theme should ring true with you, since in a post above you assert that we should tax the wealthy at 90%. Brilliant -- chase the most productive people off to other countries. Then we'll be SO much better off.
The top 1% of the taxpayers pay roughly 40% of the income taxes already.
As I keep asking redistributionists of other people's money (and never get a meaningful answer) --
how much is enough? (And no, I'm not rich, nor am I Jewish).
