Also people talk about peaking now. I guess its hard to see now as prices are 'only' $50/barrel. This point in the year from what I understand should be the cheapest as the northern hemisphere has warmed up therefore demand for heating oil has decreased. (or cold weather and high oil prices were partly blamed on the demand for heating oil so the opposite must be true). Also the so called summer driving season has not started yet, so when it does, are we gonna see some serious price rises as there doesn't seem to be any spare capacity in the market even with Saudi Arabia pumping at 100%.

When it comes to closing a deal being face to face is HUGE!!!! It’s a human thing. Besides that I do not think people realize just how much business gets done after the meetings/ conferences/ fairs over dinner and drinks.
The airlines will merge and become subsidized by tax payers. This will happen because business people traveling make more money for economies than would be saved by not supporting the airlines.
