What is "growth"?

Is growth consuming more ? What, then, is being consumed ?

Is growth more transactions ? Like, we start out where I pay you to scratch my back and then you pay me to scratch yours and growth is we then do that 10 times per day ?

Does growth just mean more people ?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mcgowanjm', 'P')oint to when CNBC called the Depression.

There is no depression, there was a recession.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hen did CNBC say to hold off on buying a home, especially
with PicaPay Options.

They suggested here; in 2007 that it might not be a good time:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'E')ugenio Aleman, a senior economist for Wells Fargo, said he expects prices to continue falling because higher mortgage rates will discourage buyers.

“It seems to have confused investors and individuals that home prices are going up always, but that is not the case,” Aleman said.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hen did CNBC decide that Off Balance Sheet BookKeeping was
a Bad Thing.

Couldn't find that exact term on CNBC.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'H')as CNBC even MENTIONED Repo 105s yet?

Right here
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he report found that Fuld knew or should have known the company's use of Repo 105 reduced its balance sheet by $49.1 billion in the first quarter of 2008 and $50.4 billion in the second quarter of 2008. "There is sufficient credible evidence to support a determination that Fuld's failure to make a deliberate decision about Lehman's disclosure obligations was grossly negligent or demonstrated a conscious disregard of his duties."

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hen did CNBC realize that Lehman owned Tishman Speyer?
Who owns Tishman Speyer now?

Tishman-Speyer is a privately-owned firm ( source ).

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', 'E')xactly. The cornies tend to be religious fanatics though they would not describe themselves that way.

Oh the irony. Say, has the Second Coming Dieoff happened yet?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', 'S')o apparently you don't believe in dieoff? I rest my case.

I don't know if we should "believe" in dieoff. 8O Maybe we should (or not) find dieoff theory to be robust and well-supported by evidence. Evidence suggests animals which use up the necessary resources of their environment will probably suffer die-off. There are theories that humans are not animals, but these aren't scientific. If humans are animals, can they use up necessary resources? Evidence suggests they can. Will they then suffer die-off? Some people think yes, some no. I'm not convinced the evidence to support the "no die-off for humans" theory is robust.
