I've updated my book, 'Six Days' and have it on the internet so it can be read for free at http://www.lornegifford.webs.com and go to the 'Six Days' tab.
It covers the reasons behind peak oil which is probably not relevent hear but watercut and geologyl limits might be interesting, before going on to use some simple maths to work out future oil prices ($240 bbl by 2019) and then looking into which energy source can ramp up enough to replace oil (2nd Gen African Biofuels), again with some basic maths to work out timescales and land use.
16,000 words and a 2 hour read. Hope it's of interest.
