$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he voters spoke
They voted for the candidates the MSM told them to vote for. NOt the 'unelectable'. The honest candidates were openly ridiculed. The pro-war candidates from both parties were put forward as the only reasonable choices. Lo and behold, the 'reasonable choice' was elected.
I find it amusing that many still believe that ANYTHING would be different if McCain were in office now. Very amusing.
45 days? meh. People have been saying that crap for years. One thing I've learned is to ignore the doomerish prognostications. This system has a tremendous amount of intertia and no one, and I mean no one, understands it well enough to accurately predict its demise.
I do believe however, that when it doesn't work any more, the dissolution will be unexpected (by the majority), rapid, and violent. A new paradigm that fits the realities of this world cannot emerge until the old one is completely discredited for the farce it is, and until it is completely eradicated or destroyed.
I hope that the new paradigm, call it quality over quantity, or maybe local over global, will get a chance before we turn this planet into an uninhabitable cinder stripped of all resources other than human biomass -- which seems to me to be where we are collectively heading.
A nations military should only be used in a nations self defense, not to entertain liberal cravings for shaping poor nations into images of themselves by force. -- Eastbay
