There is nothing to be gained from Communism! Nothing. Screw "the masses." Dictatorship is always dictatorship of the dictator. Marx was right on one thing. Life is about a struggle between the Proletariat and the Bourgeoisie. I personally have decided that the Bourgeoisie have a better lifestyle than anything that anyone could have under Communism. The USSR was evil from the very begining and continued to be evil untill the very end. I'm glad it's not around anymore (even with the problems caused by its demise). I personally would rather die a free man than live as a slave to "the masses."

The lesson learned on 9-11 is that if a significant, devastating attack can be accomplished by a handful of fanatics. maybe a big scale, catastrophic attack can be carried out on the cheap if you are slightly better organized.

Why spend the trillions on building up a big nuclear arsenal? All you need to do is give each of your consulates around the country a five gallon bucket of marburg virus, and say "on day X. empty this out in the nearest subway station".

As long as both sides are governed by rational people, i.e. people who fear painful death and feel that life is preferable, deterrence will hold. A biological attack is considered equivalent to a nuclear attack for deterrence purposes: they hit us with bugs, we hit them back with H-bombs.

The problem is that martyrdom ideologies, which seek death and offer a pleasurable hereafter, are growing in the West and Middle East. Whether something similar occurs in Russia or China remains to be seen, but it would be highly destabilizing.

Using a "false flag" technique, how hard what it be to recruit some highly motivated and gullable (religious) fundamentalists, set up a paper trail back to other fundamentailist organizations and give them the tools to trash our economy? Let's do some quick fairy tales : it only take a medium man power (less than 300 peoples),some money (to buy the basics for making hand made explosives) and enough (rented) trucks to destroy the major lines of the electrical grid of the US with a well planned domino effect at key points,expending all over the main cities of the US.. !

With something like this,the US economy would be put on his knees..maybe long enough to collapse the colossus !
