Where to find Historical Production/Consumption Data

I'm looking for historical production data per year by country as far back as it will go. I don't need it to be 100% accurate, but a good source is required. Any assistance will be accepted with thanks.

my spreadsheet of oil production, population, and gdp is in this thread. Oil production goes back to 1900.

Thanx for the graph link Pup, my only difficulty is the confluence of forces. Why do so many countries peak so close together? It seems very counter intuitive to me that so many countries could, each with a different resource base, manage to enter depletion all together.

You are right of course.

Keep in mind that the data from 1997-2005 in this link is extrapolated from Duncan and Youngquist's depletion model.

An interesting thing to do might be to compare the 1997-2005 data with "reality", that is the 1997 through current BP review values, to find out how they did. Maybe if time and energy permit, I will do such a thing when the BP review is published in June, unless you want to do it first.

One of Micheal Lynch's criticisms of the hubbert method is its frequent ability to not work and be biased.

Is there a similar source for consumption information. I need to try and establish GDP as a function of oil dependency.

They have country breakdown for production and consumption.

Don't trust their reserve data - it is political, and they admit it. But their production and consumption data is great.
