Totalitarian Tactics Used by the ATF

It appears that Lord Acton was right when he wrote "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutly". This is what happens when the government seizes too much power.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('k_semler', 'I')t appears that Lord Acton was right when he wrote "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutly". This is what happens when the government seizes too much power.

I’m not for abuse by the government or anybody else by any means, but I would like to see the other side of these stories before passing judgment.

There’s an awful lot of people running around out there doing all kinds of illegal things that cry “abuse” or something else to make themselves a victim when they get caught for sure.

Search the ATF website. It it was a legitimate criminal case, you can be 100% sure that they would have posted on it.

No suprise, the ATF has never been known to be "Fair and Impartial" in its dealings. The top 3 examples I can list right off the top of my head.
John Kerry and his shotgun
Brady Bunch and their pistol
60 Minutes and there .50 cal rifle.

Did any of these guys/groups get charged? Of course not. But be Mr. Average, that has to wade through libraries worth of gun laws, and if you slip up just once, even a teeny tiny little bit, and your ass is in jail faster then you can say "Wait, is that illegal?"

The ATf is NOT our friend. They are however an agency we must deal with.

I agree. I think they are not much better than the SS. They use the same tactics to accomplish thier goals, and they exert an equal amount of influence over the population. Whatever thier desire is becomes law due to several federal statures. Unfortunatly, there is only one way to take back the power from them, and it will not be pretty.
