Sounds good, but our bank account is empty. None of this stuff will come to fruition when we can't even pay the interest on the national debt soon and granny has to die in the street.

Economic systems are really just intangibles. Intangibles are the easiest thing to reinvent. The real currencies of the world remain Knowledge, Wealth and Violence. You can convert one into the other if you want depending on circumstance.
