Big lies from the little cheese

So, little James Murdoch has quite successfully painted anything that is not corporate run media as unfair and anti freedom and competitiveness.

If the only mainstream news we get is commercially sponsored opinion, removing the power of straight state funded opinion then the masses of ignorant zombies who cannot do without 24/7 tv bollocks will have endless power to continue the illusion of infinite growth.

Remove the competition by persuading the ignorant that the only choice is between the commercial and the state run.

Don't ever mention independent thought in any kind of rational context.

Opinions on the above link would be most welcome. Seems like a clever bit of spin to me, he's as good as his dad it seems.

goodnight :)

James Murdoch is a self-serving tycoon, best forgotten.

A profound point actually, and one that confuses liberals to no end. See Hitler said that propaganda needed to be loud, angry, intensely paranoid, repetitive, repetitive, and what was it.... repetitive.

As Hitler explained at great length in Mein Kampf, the angry paranoid message must be distilled to their simplest form. "Death panels" are merely of new version of the antisemitic blood libels but they are perfect propaganda. because they are aimed for the stupidest 10% of the population, these messages are not designed to make any sense. In fact, not making sense or being breathlessly self contradictory is sort of signal to leave critical thinking at the door, or a test to see who is really on board. Like when Winston Smith said "Two plus two equals five."

Hitler specifically singled out critical thinkers as his natural enemies.

LIke when Obama said the government will provide medical insurance for 46 million new people but it won't cost taxpayers anything and it won't add to the federal deficit.

Clearly, you are a huge fan of Bill Clinton, who was the last president to balance a budget.

Yes, the organizers of the conservative health care "debates" have pretty much taken a page from the nazi playbook. They've added to it though. For every strategy they use, they first accuse the liberals of using it first. I had the unpleasant experience of listening to Rush Limbaugh for two weeks. His basic strategy before he talks might be described as "Pot call the kettle black," then rant. Apparently, this redirects attention away from what he's doing. Disingenuous. Is anyone surprised? The other frantic ranter types seem to have picked up the habit too.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ian807', '.')...conservative health care "debates" ...

You are being misleading.....Back here in the real world there were no "conservative health care debates" ..... there were public town hall meetings----is there something wrong with that?

Legislators had town hall meetings during the Congressional break, as they always do. People spoke at the town halls, as they always do. Some spoke against the president's policies, as they always do.

Why are liberals all wee-wee'd up, as Obama put it, because some people oppose the democrat's proposals? Are the people of the United States not allowed to express their opinions since Obama became president?
