Fuel protests to begin soon?

Okay everyone, how quickly do you think we'll see national fuel protests where fuel stations up and down the country are blockaded? (The first of these has already happened in the UK)

No sign of any such unrest in the US. The Bush supporters blame foreigners. The Bush opponents are despondent and too fearful of the Patriot Act to protest anything.

Humm, that would be news to me! A) Gas prices here are costing how much extra again right now? What would the difference be to the average consumer, giving up one, or gasp …..possibly even TWO Happy Meals per week? My god horror!

B) I haven’t seen any shortage of protesters either, I think you are just spreading urban myth as we can start with the last election & inaugural………. no shortage of protesters at either and I never even heard of one being “afraid” of the Patriot Act!

I personally don't, because I know it to be a waste of energy(and everyone at these forums know how horrible that is). Anyone with similar ideas, I've tried to dissuade them from it(for instance, the only buying gas on certain days or every other week, I explained that would only limit consumption, and if it had any effect on the price, it would simply be because demand dropped).
In the long run, men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, though they should fail immediately, they had better aim at something high.-Thoreau

One thing I've noticed is that the consistently high prices have a sobering effect on people helping in acceptance of PO. People are being prepped for the bad news.

The last time we had high prices (seventies - early eighties) people didn't go out and protest. Who are they going to protest against? Nature, perhaps.
