Just listening to random shuffle, and right when I opened this post, Iron Man by Black Sabbath came on.

Weird. Signal from the universe that I need an Audi R8 MT6? Or that I should just "pass him there and why should I even care?"

perhaps.

All I need is another $117k and I can get this one.

If i'm spending that kind of money, its on a Ferrari.

I actually saw someone driving one of these Audi cars when i was in Miami. The car was pretty sweet looking. My house cost less....

Nice car.
I'd consider one over a Ferrari.
Ha, like I'd ever buy either one.
This would be a lotto win only car.

I'd like one of those Monte Carlo SS with the 303 hp V-8. That would be sweet enough for me.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '

was always kept locked.
It was the garage.

I don't want your love
don't want your money
I just want the key to your Ferrari
don't want your bed
don't want your body
I said all I want is the key to your Ferrari
I'm gonna rev it - shake it - brake it
skid it - squeal it - stick it
drop it - hop it - rip it
up and down the 101
don't want your love
don't want your money, girl
I said all I want is the key to your Ferrari.

And then I saw her...
she was a bright red '64 GTO with fins
and gills like some giant piranha fish,
some obscene phallic symbol on wheels...
little rivers of anticipation ran down my inseam
as I kicked those five hundred
Italian horses into life
and left reality behind me:
fifty, sixty, seventy miles an hour...
my hand slipped inside the belt of my trousers
as we hit eighty, ninety miles an hour...
and as we passed the magic100 my love exploded
all over her bright pink leather interior...

And at that moment, I thought of my mother.

Don't need no drugs
don't need no liquor
all I want is the key to your Ferrari
your ruby lips - pa!
your perfect figure - eech!
I just want the key to your Ferrari
I'm gonna rev it - shake it - brake it
skid it - squeal it - stick it
drop it - hop it - rip it
up and down the 101
don't want your love
don't want your money, girl
I said all I want is the key to your Ferrari.
He's gonna rev it - gun it - skid it
skip it - shoot it - toot it
brake it - zoom it - vacuum it
up and down the 101
don't want your love
don't want your money, girl
I said all I want is the key to your Ferrari
I just want the key to your Ferrari!

Ha, good one. :-D

R8's are nice and Ferrari's are sweet too but I'd take one of these over either. (if I won the lotto)

But where would I put my cooler and beach chairs?

I never really understood the expensive car thing. They take longer to fix because it's impossible to find repair people. They get lousy gas mileage and you never feel comfortable parking them anywhere because of the risk of theft.

If I had that kind of money to spend on a convertible, I'd get a brand new Ford Mustang and spend the other $90,000 on a year long vacation.

I think this car would still be a babe magnet:

Me either. I've driven only pickups for the last few decades because I live sufficiently rurally, in winter territory, that I've needed the cargo space, the clearance, the four-wheel drive.

Last year I bought a junky-looking (ie not tempting to steal) car for $1500. For that price it came with a parts car which will most likely save me some repair money in the coming years (it's already saved me roughly $300 in pieces used). This car gets an average of 50-55 miles per gallon. With the rear seat gone and the studded tires on, I can haul most cargo that I need to and drive it safely in most winter conditions. I hardly even need the pickup at all anymore! Tell me why I want a fancy car again? Even if I won that car in the lottery I would convert it instantly into land, tools, and skills.

What I don't understand is he/her still owes the bank $124,000 but has lowered the price to $117,000, usually folks that buy cars like this cash them out or at least 50% down, looks as if this was a knee jerk buyer with no money so had to finance at 0 down, now they want out, stupid does as stupid does.

The "expensive car thing" is all relative.
I know a guy with a garage full of them.
Him dropping a hundred grand on a car is like me picking up an order of Chinese food on the way home.
He doesn't even have to think about whether he can afford it or not.

nah... i prefer (doom) boats; but an Enzo Ferrari with the motor of a Tesla Roaster and some changes to put it all together will make a great car... one that will probably cost more than 1 million euros because of it being a prototype based on 2 supercars 'tough... oh, and i want to listen music on that car; the Enzo doesn't have a radio or iPod compatibility. 8)

I used to be those "form over function" guys. For the "performance" aspect of it, a much cheaper, easily modifiably car would be more practicle and enjoyable to own if your one of those guys who likes to get his or her hands dirty and enjoy the technical side of things... However, cars like this are purchased by the "look at me" and "look, I can afford to drive a very expensive depreciating asset" crowd. Nice to see some of the "rich" folks feeling the pain too. I guess "rich" is a relative term though..

Since I've started "not caring" about this guy, he's lowered the price by another 3 grand.

I think someone is coming for his thumbs next week.
