$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MonteQuest', 'S')o, all this monetization of the debt and debt guarantees is not meant to keep the financial system afloat and commerce functioning? LOL!
Keep the financial system functioning and commerce afloat? Hardly. We saw markets drop to next to nothing and GDP only declined by ~25%. If anything it's supposedly to minimize the drop in GDP. Economic systems have continued to function through much worse.

It seems that America is doing a piss poor job of living up to it's reputation as a "conservative" nation that values small government and self-reliance.
Seriously. We shouldn't spend the tax revenue collected from Americans on Americans, what kind of crazy government does that? Just make out a 2.5 trillion buck check to SA and call it a year, they're the ones who really deserve the credit for all the wonderful things that come from oil, like pollution! ;)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'G')oing to war with the United States would not make the US more inclined to pay back its creditors.

China has NOTHING to gain by declaring war on the USA.

No China does not declare the war America does! They simply invent a story and then they do not have to pay their depth back. If you inflate your money too much people are getting nervous, they might even protest.

Oh yeah, to all those naysayers who suggest we can inflate away the unfunded entitlement debt of 99 trillion....Social Security and Medicare are indexed to inflation. 8O

The government controls that index. Check out shadowstats.com for a comparison to what it would be if they hadn't changed the CPI.
