The feds can't even keep drugs and violence out of prisons, where they have everyone in a cage.

i listened to the movies "Shawshank Redemption" and "Con Air" recently.

besides leaving me with un-answered questions (i'm still not sure what the prison warden's scam was in Shawshank, besides getting bribes to not bid on stuff with his underpaid prison work force) i did get the basic impression.

like you said, bad places.

are there any books on the history of prison break-outs ?

prison movie #3 - Runaway Train. i thought Jon Voight did a great job with his acting there. when he takes the knife through the hand, it seems very real.

There is security in prisons ? You know what Soviets were doing with their prisoners, arrested and detainees when there wasnt enough locomotives to move all trains when running from Hitler in 1941? They burned them alive.
