S&P Actually Down 90% Over Last 20 Months

Interesting BUT I have been buying the S&P 500 over the last 4 months and turned much of that back into cash by selling it at great profits.

It really doesn't matter if you agree or if you made or lost money. The fact is it is down.

Must be rough to even have money to buy stocks. I thought we all agreed money was worthless anyway? It doesn't really measure a real value of assets anymore.
It's interesting that we have a society that lives in a complete fictional "economics" system. Perhaps economics itself, like psychology, are fictional sciences within themselves. Just my two cents, no pun intended.

That's S&P EARNINGs and it includes the hundreds of billions of dollars in losses from AIG and banks. Whether it is appropriate to include or exclude those losses or weight them somehow is debatable.... anyway I think the chart is a little misleading.

I have to agree totally with you Kristen. The market has completely disconnected from fundamentals. In spite of this divergence no one cares, even though it is a very clear indication that the system that people are using to make their money has ended. When reality itself becomes insignificant to individuals, the society has obviously gone a little off the rails.

Once again you seem to be suffering from a severe case of ***selective memory***As I have mentioned before, we have a subsection on this forum called "Stock Markets Current News III (Take Two)" where people can make their investment announcements in real time and we can all check back at a later date to see how good a person really is or maybe they're just blowing hot air out of their ass.
The thread exists for a reason. Having a centralized thread makes it easier for everyone else to cross-reference a person's claim.
I check the thread everyday but not surprisingly I don't remember you being very active in there.
