Finally got the book. It is excellent. Dense with info. This is THE best book concerning the "converging catastrophies" we obsess about on this site. Best argument for why we need a human dieoff within the next 8 years.

Just heard of this book. Has anyone out there read it yet? Is there anything new or just a rehash?

Six Degrees was a good read. Much of this info is well known, but it is random information. Mark Lynas gathers all of that information and puts it on a time line. The estimates are based on earth's conditions at the same temperatures in the past. He does a good job of documenting the evidenced from paleogology to support his estimates.

The book was okay, nothing really new to me but some of the sections seemed rather rushed. I think for himself he concluded once you pass 3 degrees you are going to hit 6 degrees rapidly after so no point in too many expositions about the in between states that are transient. At least that was the impression I got.
