DuPont, GM, J&J Reach Joint Renewable-Energy Goal a Year Early
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') group of U.S. businesses, including DuPont Co., General Motors Corp. and Johnson & Johnson said it’s reached a 2010 goal of buying enough renewable energy to equal the power produced by a large coal-fired plant.
The 15 companies have collectively purchased or generated 1,000 megawatts of energy from sources such as wind, solar, biomass and landfill gas, according to a statement today. The group set the target in 2000 and achieved it a year early.
