Drudge is making a big deal of this, so I had to go schlepp over to cbs.com and watch the interview.

Nothing to see here, IMHO. You have to understand that TV interviews are intensely edited, which can give the wrong impression about things like a "laugh." For all you know they cut fifteen minutes of conversation out right before his laughing.

I think this is just his personality, not a big deal. He's very much a consensus-seeker, and sees all sides of an issue. I do disagree with one statement of the President's: "We shouldn't govern out of anger."

He needs to be careful with that line of thought. The people are not as calm as their President, and when they're fuming over something he would serve himself well to be more in tune with that.

That was for the most part and engaging interview but his unlimited charisma made it hard to see what was behind the scenes. He is more smooth than Bill that is for sure.

I think his attitude about alot of it was right, we all feel that cynicism and probably deal with it by having a few off colored jokes. The situation is so much worse than a victory garden implies, so much worse...

Put your faith where it can do some good, not in neo abybody or anything, in Jesus that is where man's trust belongs. Nations rise and fall all the time.

Thanks Preston, we do want to keep "hope " alive. The other side of the coin is we have already seen his peak back in January with inauguration. More likely those long years as a community organizer and a constitutional law professor gave him exactly zero experience for the job, and as such, he sucks at this job. Biden nailed it back in the primaries, presidency is no time to have one get on the job training, oh and Hilleary's what has he done but give one good speech.
