The CT pic was crazy... It looked like a video game animation... other view...

I guess they leave that chip alone on the other bone...it'll just scar up...

Living less then 10 minutes from a very highly rated hospital does have its advantages... My PA was a very attractive lady..always a bonus :) "What, you can only give me a hook? sure...sounds good !"

Thanks again everyone for comments. Just want to finish up this thread and say everything has gone great and no pain and my fingers are starting to move again (had therapy today). Just remember that even when it looks really bad, time does heal! I felt so depressed after this happened. Using my hands is very important especially this time of the year, but hopefully by early may i should be able to use a shovel and bike and fish and all that fun stuff i enjoy, not to mention open all those hospital bills. Here is the final product. Removable splint comes next week and the stitches get taken out.

vt-

It can come out after a year. The doc said 99% of the time they are fine to leave in. My mom;s friend had one in for 20 years. I bet at some point it will come out.

Its titanium! Think how much just that plate/screws cost!? Those screws are really long they use. The therapist told me that it probably hurt so bad because all the muscles had shortened/tightened from 10 days of non use and then the doc would have had to stretch everything to get it back in line.

When i get a finally tally of cost, i;ll report back... I'm guessing i'm over $20,000 already...

I can honestly say i've never had food poisoning. I use to have bad reaction to dairy, but thats because of the lactose.
