$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Revi', 'I') think the place to be is in cast iron. It's the new precious metal.

I'm spending money on seeds and plants.

For raising my own food (nearly 100%, less milk & cereal), sponges (luffa sponges grown), natural fences (bamboo, rosa rugosa, cypress, thorn vines, nettles), liquid soap (buffaloberry).

Once established & I save seeds from existing plants & have compost bin & compost toilets, I won't be inputting money into my system... just sunlight & rain.

Easier to save money by cutting expenses than raising income by getting a second job and increasing my taxes.

If you get more income, you pay more taxes & you buy sponge you pay sales tax & you spend on gas to drive to the grocery store you pay tax on gas.

Bugger spending money.

This is a classic example of the conflict between large numbers of people doing what benefits their individual situation (saving money) and with what needs to be done to save the economy at large (spend).

Actually I'm not sure spending helps if you are just creating more deb t. The personal debt ratio to GNP is 1:1, which is what it was during the Great Depression. Trying to cure our situation by more debt is like trying to cure a drunk driver by giving him more booze.
An ideology is by definition not a search for TRUTH-but a search for PROOF that its point of view is right

Equals barter and negotiate-people with power just take

You cant defend freedom by eliminating it-unknown

Our elected reps should wear sponsor patches on their suits so we know who they represent-like Nascar-Roy

I agree 100%. We have been buying cast iron cookware to use and love it. The food taste better and you can use it anywhere.
How can Ludi spend 8-10 hrs/day on the internet and claim to be homesteading???

You can't buy any of the other precious metals from the US Government any more:

This just happened. I think they realize that the cost exceeds what they have.

At least the sought-after 1oz American Gold Eagle and Silver Eagle are still available - for now.
