$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Nickel', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Quinny', 'B')ut it's free trade within the EU. CAP can hardly be considered free trade.

Yeah, that's a good point. The EU still has the ability to put up outward-facing barriers, and I believe it already has a lot of them.

It'll be fortress North America, Fortress EU, Fortress ASEAN countries, etc... It doesn't mean trade will stop between fortresses, it will just be adjusted with civil unrest within member nations, taken into account. The beginning of fairer trade, don't you think?

If gold is a relic of the past as a measure of wealth, why do central banks own 15% of all the gold in the world?

Why sell an asset that is appreciating?

Moreover, if they sold it all at once, prices would crash and the value of their gold portfolios would decline.

It's similar to China and Japan's US Treasurys stockpiles.

If they sell 10% of them, the value of the remaining 90% would fall by 20%.

It's not a profitable activity to sell off gold reserves at the moment.

The prison which you don't know it's there is the perfect prison. You will not try to escape. Why establish a dictatorship ? To get a revolution ?
The simple thing that I need money and I am forced to work for others to survive, I cant just "live" without this thing called "money", means I am a slave, I am imprisoned. The money creators - bankers are the rulers.

Look here some free people :
http://www.orientaltales.com/issues/007/page07.html
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')oon after the story broke, global attention was focused on these fascinating people who would no doubt have preferred to remain anonymous. Aid began pouring in changing the economic dynamic as well as the diet of the Mogen. The press came. The Tourists came. And soon, government regulations came, which altered their way of life, forever.

Not for long. Soon our prison of "get a job or die", will reach them. They will feel it like a prison unlike us. Work not because your work is needed, but because there is "economic need" of money. Working for money means they will no longer take what is necessary from the environment to survive, they will have to take as much as they can. The more the better.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'â')€śBottom-trawling repeatedly plows up the seafloor over large areas of the ocean” said Mr. Amos. “Until recently, the impact was basically hidden from view. But new tools – especially Internet-based image sites, like Google Earth – allow everyone to see for themselves what’s happening. In shallow waters with muddy bottoms, trawlers leave long, persistent trails of sediment in their wake

Zardoz, we said it would not happen this year because we were given Obam years of peace. So we were right and you mock? One day you will say, " I should have believed, I should have believed."

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Zardoz', 'A')nother prediction of the conspiracy theorists evaporates. Supposedly, this is where the New World Order was going to be established at last.

Next time for sure, right, CT buffs?

Of course because their participants on behalf of their countries have different interests. The interest of borrower is in conflict with interest of lender.
I knew it they don't do anything.

For these CT nuts every international meeting is a "NWO meeting" and every international organization is "unravelling conspiracy"

Alcassin, for mocking the truth you will remain alive until the end, you will eat your children and neighbors and you will pull your hair out and roll in the dust crying "Why didn't I believe?" Your eyes will melt out of their sockets as will the skin off your face.
And, you will remember this post. Such is your penalty.

How do you expect to be "enslaved" ? Army at every street corner, and everything else like in "V for Vendetta" ?
Or like in North Korea ?

You already are slaves, as I have shown above. There is no need for more slavery, the Sith lords that rule us are not so sadistic to want you jailed and so on. They have better things to do. You have the illusion of free "press", free "elections" bla bla bla. But you are caught in their system. Try to escape using money to live , try to escape working for those money, and you will be jailed. Or have a very hard time barely surviving in some remote area.

Of course there is the option of being a lesser slave master yourself.

The ability of large blocs to shut each other out could be good or bad. Good, if the target bloc realizes it's been trading unfairly and modifies its policies; bad if they just get their backs up and strike back. Smaller countries had limited abilities to do either, really. The stakes get higher the bigger the players get.

I think a more salient question, given your point, might be if it's so au courant, why do they hold ONLY 15%?

How do you know they aren't selling off reserves? Looks to me like they have been, in an attempt to boost the stock market, among other things. Once the inflationary impact of deficit spending together with zero yield, starts to scare enough people into thoughts of U.S. default, the money will begin to flow out of treasuries and into gold, as there is really nowhere else to go. At this point, if there has been manipulation in the gold markets, it might come to an abrupt halt. A rise in gold will be viewed as preferable to a rise in essential commodities, in times of desperation. National security issue.

Results of G20 Meeting

Pour more tax dollars into the IMF Rathole. Platitudes on protectionism. And pour more tax dollars into ratholes like Africa. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7943794.stm

Plus agreement to keep the useless stimulus packages coming.

Absolutely nothing novel or concrete emerged from this meeting, just more attempts to keep the current economic paradigm going through even more debt in various forms.

Where is Harry Dexter White when we need him? Where is John Maynard Keynes? LOL.

When they got together at Bretton Woods, our Capitalist Forefathers were in control of the world, and able to construct a system to divide the spoils, since there were plenty of spoils still to be divided.

Put the same Economists (or their spiritual heirs) together TODAY, are stuck fighting over a world sadly lacking in spoils left to exploit. All they really can do now is create fiat money and fight each other over who has more toilet paper. Its pathetic.

Looking forward to the next G20 conference. I'm thinking fistfights here.
