After 10 days (i.e. on January 13), I will close nominations and make the top nominated posters into a front page poll so people can vote. The poll will run another 10 days and on January 23, we'll announce the winner.

I owe that map to Buckminster Fuller, who invented it, and the Larry Niven discussion group at Larryniven-L.org where I was involved in a long drawn out discusion of the Map of Earth as projected on the Ringworld. Once I discovered Dymaxion maps I fell in love, I have always sought something better than the old Mercator projections and I think Dymaxion is it.
