I keep thinking of the scene in Star Trek II where McCoy says to Kirk about Spock "He's dead already" despite the fact that Spock is still stumbling about on his last legs. That may be what the situation is with our economy. So I really don't see how not passing the stimulus bill is going to make things all better again. More likely it will keel over anyway. The stimulus is CPR for a patient already in cardiac arrest.
