$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('cbxer55', 'C')urrently unemployed, so no insurance period.
And to boot, woke up Sunday morning with kidney stones again.
Hmmm, when I was a kid, my dads doctor prescribed a case of beer for that. Maybe I best get to the store and get some. LOL
Not today, got ice all over the roads. I do have a gallon of Yukon Jack., so I guess I'll be hitting that. So if my posts start getting incoherent, you'll know why! Image Image Image

Try drinking a few pints of 'wheat' beer, it dissolves kidney stones apparently.

Medical insurance through my husband's employer. It's PPO so we can go anywhere we like. The mental health portion sucks, only pays a third of the appointment bill.

No vision coverage (which sucks seeing as there are three in the family with glasses/contacts), dental is an HMO type which covers well but you have to have paperwork for everything.

We just missed having enough out of pocket expenses in 2007 to get the refund, mainly because we have three kids in orthodontia, with one who sees a specialist and must have glasses for a medical condition. Overall they're very healthy, we seldom go to the doctor. We didn't spend nearly so much in 2008, fortunately.

They should be out of the braces in 2009, so our bills will get a lot better on that account. Braces are expensive. :(

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JoeW', '
')I don't begrudge these people their paychecks. They earn it fair and square. But maybe we need to be telling more of our kids to become doctors, because we clearly need more of them.

The AMA controls the numbers. No way to have more doctors unless the government steps in or the people hold the doctors accountable.
