The speech was moving only towards those who do not know what is going on.

For the rest of us it was a steaming pile of Dogsh!t. It was laced with cliche and emotion and included little substance. I expect very little else from this man as president. While I give him the benefit of the doubt, I see bad things happening and he will not have the experience, nor the leadership to stop them no matter how well he speaks.

For the record, taxpayers are paying for security and transportation. The actual "party" is being paid for by donations.
And Bush declared a state of emergency authorizing D. C. to recoup some of the costs of the event.

It wasn't clear to me whether taxpayers are paying for the port-a-johns, or whether the commmitte paid for it with donations. Either way, I'm okay with it. We can't have that stuff in the streets, can we?

Amazing that AP and Tyler could put down this speech. I mean, c'mon, the guy compared our current situation to the Revolutionary war. You do have any idea what the odds were that the Americans defeated the British. I guarantee they would have been a 1000:1.
