There are vastly more important things going on than an airline accident in which no one dies. That's for sure. Yet the news media continued to shamelessly and transparently milk the "story" today.

Despite the earlier comment by someone, I believe strongly that much of the massive emphasis is a result of the media people using planes to travel frequently. They're tightly tied in to that system, and this is a case of their reportage reflecting their personal and institutional stake in the airline industry.

Those were CANADIAN GEESE!!! We need to protect our boarders better. Who let those geese into our country? What was homeland security doing anyway? All that money on homeland security wasted. All Canada had to do was send a couple of suicidal geese our way and BLAM!, another airplane is down.

We should pull our troops out of Iraq immediately and use them to invade Canada. After all, no Iraqi's attacked the homeland. We need to prioritize our targets.
